This DCVA Rain Garden Workshop will teach you how to build and maintain a Rain Garden yourself and how to help build rain gardens in your community. Those who help build a rain garden will receive a few rain garden seedlings.  Register below or by emailing peter.puglionesi@appliedehs.com

Celebrating the New Schuylkill River Trail Pedestrian Bridge

 Schuylkill River Greenways NHA will hold a brief ceremony to celebrate the project initiation for construction of a Schuylkill River Trail pedestrian bridge over Route 724 in Union Township. The bridge will carry trail users over Route 724 at a location along the trail where poor sight distances and steep banks on either side of the road make for a difficult road crossing.

Explore the Circuit: Cross-County Trail plus the Schuylkill Center

For this route, our friends at REI join us in celebrating the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy's 2018 "Opening Day" for trail activities! Our ride will follow the Cross-County Trail from Conshohocken to the Schuylkill River. From there, we'll follow the river and visit with the folks at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education, including a gentle hike. The cycle route will cover roughly 16 miles, out-and-back.

Riverfront North - Earth Day Festival

In celebration of Earth Day, we will be hosting an all-ages festival in Lardner’s Point Park that will include an outdoor cleanup, live music, food trucks, environmental demos/vendors/activities, naturalist guided walks/tours and a yoga class.

Explore the Circuit: Chester Valley and Valley Forge

For this route, our friends at REI join us to explore a beautiful stretch of the expanding Chester Valley Trail. We'll then make our way into Valley Forge park & take time to visit with history. This route will cover roughly 12 miles, out-and-back.
