DCNR’s Recreation and Conservation Partnerships Grant Program Workshop
Location: STATE COLLEGE, Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center, Deans Hall 1
Registration: 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM / Workshop: 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM
In partnership with the Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society, DCNR is offering free, in-person grant workshops at six locations across Pennsylvania between November 1 – 21, 2017. These workshops will provide technical assistance to potential applicants on DCNR grants available for recreation, conservation, riparian buffer, trail, and community parks projects. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with staff and receive information on grant program selection criteria, eligibility, and documents required for various types of applications. Community leaders, municipal officials, consultants, board members, trail managers, land conservation professionals, and park and recreation professionals are encouraged to attend. If you are interested in applying to this grant program, attending a grant workshop is strongly encouraged.
During the second half of the workshop, there will be four concurrent breakout sessions. The session will focus on community-based planning, land acquisition, trail, and community park development projects. If your organization is interested in applying for more than one type of project, please send additional representatives to the workshop.
