The Wissahickon is known for its hilly, rocky terrain, but it is also the home of three meadows! Join Trail Ambassadors Lisa Kleiman and Susie Gettes for an early 7-8 mile hike linking these three meadows as we enjoy the morning light, the sounds of the birds, and the varying terrain.

The hike will be at a moderate pace over hilly rocky trails which may be muddy. Restroom stop 1/4 of a mile into the hike. For those interested in a shorter distance, hikers will have the option to return to the starting point after looping through each meadow. Those interested in additional exploration will also have the option to explore one of the feeder creeks in the park, adding 1.5 miles to the total distance. This will primarily be an exploration/fitness hike, but we will stop briefly to discuss the history of each meadow.

Registration is required for all events so that participants can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations. Unless otherwise specified, Trail Ambassador Walks may be on rocky, rugged trails that may be wet and slippery. Wear sturdy shoes or boots with socks. Walks are cancelled in heavy rain or icy conditions. Service animals are always welcome.
