Delaware River Heritage Trail
Trenton Wellness Loop
The Trenton Wellness Loop on road section to the Trenton Battle Monument (D&R Canal main section) is designed and should be installed in 2018
D&R Canal Towpath connection to Trenton (Trenton Connector)
This gap in the D&R Canal Towpath will use streets and possibly riverside paths in the City of Trenton. Plannning for this segment is being managed by the D&R Greenway Land Trust. A feasibility study is currently being conducted.
Roebling to Palmyra Section:
The very short 0.25 mile section of the Delaware River Heritage Trail extends from York St through Woodlake Park and out Warren St (County Route 534) in Edgewater Park is currently used by bicyclists to bypass a hazardous crossing under a railroad bridge. Another half mile section exists in Burlington City between the YMCA and Burlington waterfront. In the early planning stages is a segment between Delanco and Delran where it will intersect with the Rancocas Creek Trail. South of Delran the trail is expected to run parallel to the RiverLINE tracks into Riverton where a concrete path has built into Palmyra Borough.
Route 130 Bypass:
The trail will run through Crystal Lake Park and then join up with the Kinkora Trail to travel under Route 130.
