The Chester Valley Trail Extension is a 3.8-mile extension of the Chester Valley Trail. It will link the existing 14.5-mile portion of the Chester Valley Trail, which currently runs from Exton to King of Prussia, to the Schuylkill River Trail in Norristown.
Among other improvements, the extension will include installing three pedestrian bridges (South Gulph Road, Henderson Road, and Boro Line Road) and enhancing two bridges for increased bike and pedestrian use. The project is funded in part by the federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program (CMAQ), the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources C2P2 grant program, and the William Penn Foundation.
Join us to celebrate the opening of the Chester Valley Trail Extension from King of Prussia to Norristown! The Montgomery County Commissioners will cut the ribbon on the newly completed 3.8-mile Chester Valley Trail Extension. This new section of trail links the existing 14.5-mile portion of the Chester Valley Trail, which currently runs from Exton to King of Prussia, to the Schuylkill River Trail in Norristown.
