Momentum across the Circuit Trails network continues to build, from major infrastructure improvements to new trail connections, these recent developments represent meaningful progress towards the new goal of 550 miles in 2030.
Chester Valley Trail Extension with Downingtown Trestle Bridge Rehabilitation
A century-old trestle bridge will help extend the Chester Valley Trail, kicking off a years-long project. The bridge stretches 1,450 feet and is more than 130 feet high over the east Brandywine River. As the county begins the project, full inspections of the bridge will take place during the coming months.

More than 50 Miles of New Trails in Burlington County
The Burlington County Commission accepted the completed Southern Regional Trail Feasibility Report, which details potential routes for more than 50 miles of new trails. Among those paths were potential trails that would link to the planned Pennsauken-Merchantville Trail in Camden County. It would also connect to Rancocas Creek Greenway near the Burlington County Agricultural Center.

First LINK Trail Segment to Break Ground in Camden County
Camden County will break ground on the first LINK Trail segment, connecting Audubon and Haddon Heights, on Feb. 26. The multi-use trail will eventually link the Ben Franklin Bridge to the Gloucester County line in Winslow Township.
Construction is scheduled to begin March 1.
