East Coast Greenway Alliance and Circuit Trails Coalition Celebrate the Delaware River Heritage Trail

Join the East Coast Greenway Alliance and Circuit Trails Coalition on Saturday, October 3 for a 17.76-mile, people-powered celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Starting and finishing at Franklin Square in Philadelphia, participants can choose to bike or walk a 17.76-mile tour of historic sites along the Delaware River Heritage Trail segment of the East Coast Greenway in Philadelphia and Camden, New Jersey. A shorter walking option also will be available. This free, community event is designed to encourage participants to learn about and reflect upon the Greater Philadelphia region and its role in the founding of our nation — all connected by the Delaware River Heritage Trail.

East Coast Greenway Alliance partners will lead each event, with FreeWalkers leading the walking tour and the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia leading the bike ride.
