Join us one Saturday morning each month as we explore a section of the LHT together. This is a free event and everyone is welcome.
Please join us on Saturday, April 23, in recognition of Celebrate Trails Day, an annual spring celebration of America’s trails.
The event starts at 9:30 a.m. at the ETS parking lot on Assessment Road south of Messick Hall, near the trail kiosk.
The LHT’s Saturday Morning Walking Club will be joined by bicycle riders for this special day. After brief greetings, the trail enthusiasts will divide into two groups, with walkers going north and riders going south. Walkers will head to the historic truss bridge over the Stony Brook, and then turn back.
“Celebrate Trails Day” was started by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy in 2013. The celebration encourages people across the country to get outside and enjoy the nation’s exceptional trails and trail systems.
No registration necessary and no fee. Everyone welcome.
