Meeting at Valley Green Inn (Forbidden Drive and Valley Green Road)
Parking and Transit: There are three lots near the Inn. The northern parking lot on Forbidden Drive can be accessed by Wises Mill Road, and the southern by Valley Green Road. Overflow parking is in the Upper Valley Green Road Lot. The only nearby transit is the 27 bus stop at Henry Ave and Wigard Ave, a 15-minute hike from the Inn. See map for details.
Bathrooms: There will be bathroom access at the Valley Green Inn before we walk over to Devil’s Pool.
Would you like to take part in keeping Wissahickon Valley Park beautiful and sustainable? Then join with Friends of the Wissahickon in cleaning up Devil’s Pool!
All are welcome to attend, and no experience is needed. We encourage attendees to work within their own comfort level, and we always strive to accommodate needs on an individual basis. With that being said, this service day may include the following activities:
• Litter clean-up: carrying trash bags up to 20 lbs, hiking up to 1.5 miles, navigating rocky terrain
We provide gloves, tools, and instruction–you just need to show up! Be sure to wear sturdy footwear and long pants, and remember to bring water with you. Detailed information and confirmation of the meeting location will be sent by email one business day before the event.
