Washington Ave Green section of the Delaware River Trail spans between the Coast Guard Station and Walmart (Shoppes at Pier70). Along this trail you find the Washington Avenue Pier, formerly named Pier 53, is one of the newest greenspaces that the DRWC has created on the Central Delaware. The design of the park honors its evolving role on the waterfront from shipbuilding center to port-of-entry to naturalized finger pier.
