The benefits of getting outside and doing something active are bountiful. Researchers have reported that   spending at least 120 minutes in nature per week can significantly boost health and well-being, touting benefits such as better breathing, improved sleep, mental restoration and much more.

Participating in group activities like running and walking clubs can be a fun and impactful way to exercise outdoors, while also tapping into the benefits that come from socializing with others regularly.

Fortunately, the Greater Philadelphia and southern New Jersey area is home to hundreds of miles of connected trails–and efforts are underway to create even more spaces to safely stroll and roll around the region–providing many opportunities to take steps toward leading a healthier, happier lifestyle! To help get you moving and mingling with your fellow community members #OnTheCircuit, we’ve gathered a list of  four walking and running groups hosted by Circuit Trails Coalition members. And the events are free, which is a bonus!
